It depends on the number of pages and features you need. I give a clear fixed quote up front before any work begins, with no hidden costs and no surprise invoices. Because I'm a one-man business with no agency overheads, my pricing is genuinely affordable for Bournemouth sole traders and small businesses.
Most small business websites are ready in two to four weeks. Timescales mainly depend on how quickly content, images and feedback come back to me. You'll see a design mock-up before I build anything, so there are no surprises.
Yes. If you need to manage your own content, I build an admin area so you can edit text and images without any technical knowledge. Alternatively, many of my clients simply email me their updates and I make the changes for them, usually the same day.
With a local designer you speak directly to the person building your site, with no account managers or ticket systems. Compared with DIY builders like Wix, a hand-coded site is faster, ranks better on Google, and is built around your business rather than a template. And I'm still here after launch for updates and support.
Bournemouth is home, and most of my clients are in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and across Dorset, so I'm always happy to meet face to face locally. But I work with businesses further afield too; everything can be handled by phone and email if you're not on the south coast.
Yes. I handle domain registration, website hosting and email setup, including Microsoft 365. If anything ever goes wrong, you email me directly and I sort it, rather than you sitting in a call-centre queue.
Yes. If you're unhappy with your current provider, I move your website, domain and email across for you and then look after them, so there's one person to call when something needs doing.
The websites I host are checked every day for signs of hacking, and any problem is dealt with straight away. If your site is hosted elsewhere, I can check it for you.
The most common cause is missing or wrong email records on your domain (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), which tell other mail servers your emails are genuine. I can check them and put them right.
Yes. I support small offices across Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset, onsite and remotely: networking, routers and Wi-Fi, new equipment, email problems and day-to-day IT issues.
Yes. I come onsite anywhere in the BH postcodes for things that need hands on, like networks, routers and new equipment. Quick fixes can often be done remotely, so you're not waiting for a visit.
It depends on what you need. Whether it's a one-off job or ongoing support, I'll give you a clear price before any work starts.
Usually not any more. SharePoint and OneDrive, which come with Microsoft 365, keep your files in the cloud and synced to every PC, so there's no server to buy, back up or replace.
Yes. I set up new starters with their email, Microsoft 365 licence and access, and when someone leaves I block their sign-in, keep their emails available to the right person and free up the licence so you're not paying for it.
Yes. I set up Microsoft 365 for email only or with the Office apps, move your existing email across, create your staff accounts and licences, and look after it afterwards.
No. Your existing mailboxes are copied across before the switch, and the change-over is done at a quiet time so mail keeps arriving. You'll open Outlook the next morning to the same emails, contacts and calendar.
Yes. Microsoft 365 uses your own domain, so you keep you@yourbusiness.co.uk. I set up the records on your domain so your email arrives reliably and stays out of spam.
It depends on each person. Business Basic covers email, Teams and the web versions of Office; Business Standard adds the desktop apps; Business Premium adds stronger security and device management; and Exchange Online is email only. Plans can be mixed, so you only pay for what each person needs.
Microsoft charges per user per month, and the price depends on the plan. I'll recommend the cheapest mix that covers what each person needs, and make sure you're not paying for licences nobody uses.
Yes. I add new starters, remove leavers and free up their licence, set up shared mailboxes and out-of-office replies, and keep an eye on renewals and trial licences so nothing lapses or charges unexpectedly.
Bring customers, enquiries and jobs into one place, show your income and finances as the graphs you want to see, give each member of staff their own login and permissions, and manage all your services from one location, with statistics on each.
Yes. I build from your existing data, files, records, spreadsheets, invoices and enquiries, so you start with your history in place rather than an empty system.
